Blood-tests for antibody levels to food
The blood test for food intolerances is done primarily to determine the variety of different foods the client is intolerant to, and also to determine the level of intolerance. This helps prioritise the most important foods when beginning treatment.

The information below highlights a case study of a 53 year old female with multiple food intolerances. Test results before and after ENAR treatment are included in the links below.

1) SYMPTOMS
​
Symptoms were minor in relation to the gut. These included some bloating after eating, and gas. There was widespread inflammation in joints lasting for many months and not responding to structural ENAR treatment as well as usual. The client also suffered from a stuffy nose with lots of mucus in the morning after sleeping, daily nose bleeds, muscular pain, tension in the neck region, exhaustion, foggy brain, lack of concentration, feelings of stress (the last five symptoms were most likely due to adrenal exhaustion and mild thyroid imbalance). Asthma and hormone imbalances had already been treated successfully with ENAR Therapy at that stage.
2) FIRST BLOOD TEST

High antibody levels:
The first blood test showed high antibody levels to dairy; specifically the protein casein, found in cow’s milk, a variety of different cheeses, yoghurt, goat’s milk, and whey.
There were also high antibody levels to gluten; gliadin, wheat, rye, and spelt.
Others foods in this category include hazelnut, chicken, egg yolk and white (from chicken), and cane sugar.
Moderate antibody levels:
Honey, tomato, mushroom, radish, sesame seed, duck egg, coffee bean, oats, and clams.
Low antibody levels:
Yeast, cabbage, carrot, cocoa, capsicum, green pea, lobster, soy bean, spinach, zucchini, almond, broccoli, barley, buckwheat, celery, corn, crab, cranberry, walnut, orange, grapefruit, peanut, shrimp, white rice, string bean, lettuce, lemon, coconut, cod, grape, blueberry, cauliflower, white potato, pineapple, peach, lima bean, sole, sunflower seed, tuna.

3) TREATMENT
​
The treatment consisted of ENAR therapy spread out over a few weeks, beginning with one session a week, and decreasing to one session a fortnight. Following each food-specific treatment, a withholding period of 48 hours for each particular food was observed. These foods were subsequently slowly reintroduced. The client was treated only once for less regularly eaten foods eg. honey, radish, shrimp and mushrooms. The client was treated 2 – 3 times for foods eaten more often, eg. rice, soy bean, orange, grapefruit, cranberry, sugar, and spinach. Treatment was given between 5 - 8 times for those foods where the client exhibited high levels of antibodies eg. dairy, gluten, wheat, rye, egg, hazelnut, and tomatoes. The same treatment protocol was observed throughout. The client followed a normal diet throughout, with no changes for at least 7 months after treatment.

4) SECOND BLOOD TEST
​
After the reintroduction of all foods for at least 7 months, another blood test was carried out. Antibody levels to all the different foods had dropped significantly, many of them to normal levels. The remaining foods where the reaction had dropped considerably but still require improvement include dairy, egg white (but not egg yolk), wheat and hazelnut. (Nutella/wheat addiction?).

5) WELLBEING AFTER THE TREATMENT
​
Three weeks after treatment commenced, the bloating and gas experienced by the client after eating had gone. So had the chronic inflammation in the joints. The nasal congestion in the morning cleared up permanently 5 weeks into the treatment. The daily nose bleeds also stopped after 5 weeks. Nosebleeds occur now perhaps once a month, and only when blowing the nose. The other remaining symptoms were addressed with ENAR, by balancing the thyroid hormones. Currently, the client has started biochemical treatment (supported by ENAR therapy) for adrenal exhaustion and low neurotransmitter levels. Overall, the client reports the sense of wellbeing as ‘back to normal’.
